Unter anderem kann man auch interessante technische Daten zu seinen ICQ Kontakten anzeigen, zB: Idle time, Online time, Client, Reg. date,.. [...] hat sich mittlerweile die Anzahl der QIP-Benutzer stark erhöht. Nahezu 40 Prozent benutzen bereits QIP. Es haben wohl nun sehr viele die Vorteile von QIP erkannt und sind gewechselt. Alles in allem macht QIP einen guten Eindruck, jedoch schwächelt das überladene Interface und die umständliche Anmeldung. Der Autor verspricht sich von der Version Infium die Möglichkeit der Vermarktung von QIP. Ob das nun bedeutet, das QIP mit Werbung überschwämmt, oder gar kostenpflichtig wird, das sei erstmal dahingestellt.

Am 03.09.2008 wurde eine neue Vesrion des Messengers qIp Infium veröffentlicht. Der Client unterstützt neben ICQ auch das Protokoll Jabber, bei dem in dieser Version einige Neuerungen dazugekommen sind.

Gelesen im deutschen qIp Forum:
